The 2011 Northern District of Florida Bankruptcy Bar Association's Annual Seminar was held on September 30, 2011, at the Hotel Duval in Tallahassee, Florida. Topics included Tax Traps for Bankruptcy Lawyers, The Fair Credit Reporting Act, and Views from the Chapter 7 Bench, the Chapter 11 Bench, and the Chapter 13 Table.

The Annual NDFLBBA Golf Tournament was held Thursday afternoon, September 29th. Thanks to Ed Rude for organizing the Tournament again this year.

The Annual Cocktail Reception was held Thursday night, September 29th, at the Governor’s Club. The members of the NDFLBBA honored Judge Killian for 25 years of service as Bankruptcy Judge in the Northern District of Florida.

2010 NDFLBBA ANNUAL SEMINAR

Hotel Duval in Downtown Tallahassee

The Northern District of Florida's Bankruptcy Bar Association held its Annual Seminar and Meeting on Friday, October 1, 2010, at the newly-remodeled Hotel Duval in downtown Tallahassee. This year’s topics included current issues in both consumer and corporate bankruptcy for both debtors’ and creditors’ counsel (7.3 Florida CLE hours). The final portion of the Seminar (the Clerk's Update and the View from the Bench) was held in the beautiful Tallahassee Bankruptcy Courthouse, just a few short blocks from Hotel Duval. The View from the Bench was conducted in a round-table format this year, allowing a live question-and-answer session with Judge Killian and his "Oil Spill Panel."

During the Annual Meeting over lunch, the Association elected the following new Board Members:

The Clerk's Office conducted its first annual Bankruptcy Support Staff Seminar this year, which was held live in Tallahassee and videocast in Pensacola simultaneously with the NDFLBBA Seminar. They received very positive feedback from attendees and hope to increase attendance next year.

Additional Seminar events included our annual Golf Tournament on Thursday, September 30th, at Capitol City Country Club, the annual Cocktail Reception that night, and the Speakers Dinner following the Reception. Photos of these events are coming soon.
